Appointments

chdPatients are seen by appointment only. Appointments are allocated at ten minute intervals, if you think you will need longer than this please advise reception at the time of booking.  We are a shared practice so you can see any available doctor.

Same day appointments are released at 8.00am and should only be used for short term (acute) problems.

You can make an advanced appointment (commonly known as a "prebook") for longer term (chronic) conditions, medical reviews and general health checks.

If you need a check for Diabetes, COPD or Asthma please make an appointment to see the Nurse and for blood pressure checks, ask for the Healthcare Assistant.

We do ask that you arrive promptly for your appointment and if you are unable to keep it that you please let us know so that it can be offered to another patient. Failure to attend booked appointments is taken very seriously and could result in patient removal from our list following due written warning if appointments are repeatedly missed.

docsteth1EMERGENCIES

All emergency patients will be seen on the same day. Please be aware that you may have a wait.

CHAPERONES

If you would like a chaperone to be present during your consultation or examination, please ask at reception. On occasions the doctor may request a chaperone to be present.

TEACHING & TRAINING

We are a teaching practice. Occasionally you may be asked to allow a student doctor to observe your consultation. This is entirely voluntary. If you have any objections, the student will leave to allow you a private consultation. Please tell the receptionist that you wish to be alone.
